Decentralization and local democracy - 04/09/2015
The Eurasia Local Governments Congress was held on 31 July – 1 August in Kazan and gathered 173 participants from 93 cities in 14 countries. Not only Eurasian countries took part in the Congress, with local leaders from France, Spain, Belgium, Great Britain, Australia, Indonesia, Seychelles, Turkey and Iran also attending.

Metropolis, Agenda urbana, Cooperación ciudad-ciudad - 04/09/2015
La Conferencia temática de Montreal sobre áreas metropolitanas, que se celebrará en Montreal, Canadá, el 6 y 7 de octubre de 2015, reunirá a la comunidad internacional en representación de los Estados miembros, las áreas metropolitanas, las ciudades y la sociedad civil internacional para tratar la importancia de otorgar a las áreas metropolitanas mecanismos de colaboración y planificación. Sostenibilidad - 03/09/2015
Con el objetivo de poder impulsar el intercambio de conocimiento y colaboración entre ciudades, desde la Comisión de Ciudades Digitales y del Conocimiento se organiza un encuentro temático y operativo que permita un intercambio de experiencias y conocimiento así como el debate sobre los temas relacionados con el uso de las nuevas tecnologías, la innovación y el conocimiento para hacer ciudades más eficientes y sostenibles.

Finanzas locales y Desarollo, Financiación para el desarrollo - 30/07/2015
UCLG Committee on Local Finance participated in the World Summit Climate and Territories,organized on 1 & 2 July in Lyon-France, by the Rhône-Alpes Region. The Summit gathered around 900 local and regional representatives and climate stakeholders with the objective of finding synergies and unity towards the COP21 in Paris in December. (+)

Right to the City - 27/07/2015
The first biannual meeting of the Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights (CISDP) hold in Mexico City, on 21st April allowed to reaffirm the commitment of Local Governments of this Committee for Human Rights and the right to the city, based on the involvement of a New Co-Presidency (+)

With the UN Conference to approve the Post-2015 Agenda on the horizon, June saw the inaugural meeting of the Interagency and Expert Group (IAEG-SDG) charged with drawing up proposals for indicators to measure progress towards the 17 goals and 169 targets of the Agenda across the world.
