Descentralización y democracia local - 15/12/2017
From November 23rd to November 25th the seminar was held of the “Forum of the Local authorities of Periphery” organized by the FALP and the commission on peripheral cities of CGLU. This network counts on the participation of 250 local authorities of periphery of differents continents. This meeting was built with the Legislative Parliament of the State of Rio Grande do Sul and the municipality of São Leopoldo, and joined together 47 international local entities of periphery. (+)

SDGs - 15/09/2016
From 3 to 8 September 2016, UCLG ASPAC celebrated its congress in Jeollabuk-do, Gunsan, South Korea, with the theme “Region, Life and Culture in the New Urban Agenda”. The event saw a wide range of discussions on topics including Enabling Environment Ratings, the question of leadership in the New Urban Agenda, the localization of the SDGs, urban innovation, public space, and the issue of urban resilience in different formats. Human Rights, Social Inclusion - 05/10/2015
On the occasion of the Meeting of the Americas on Climate Change, UCLG and the City of Bogota signed an agreement so the Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights of UCLG conduct along with the Department of Social Integration of Bogota the Human Rights Monitoring in this city. Decentralization and local democracy - 04/09/2015
The Eurasia Local Governments Congress was held on 31 July – 1 August in Kazan and gathered 173 participants from 93 cities in 14 countries. Not only Eurasian countries took part in the Congress, with local leaders from France, Spain, Belgium, Great Britain, Australia, Indonesia, Seychelles, Turkey and Iran also attending.
